MARILENA LIAKOPOULOU - Accompanists Head Coach
(Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra) Born in Thessaloniki, she studied the piano at the Thessaloniki State Conservatory. After acquiring her soloist diploma she continued broadening her musical knowledge and repertoire near the famous pianists and pedagogues Dora Bakopoulou (Athens) and Bernard Ringeissen (Paris). From her early student years, Marilena Liakopoulou had shown a vivid interest in chamber music repertoire. Although she regularly performs as a soloist with symphonic orchestras, and in solo piano recitals, she also leads a very successful career in the domain of chamber music, collaborating with awarded artists throughout Europe. She has taught and performed in big halls and important Chamber Music Festivals such as Megaron Athens, Festival de Musique de Chambre de Briançon, Music Festival of Naples, Academie de Music de Saint Maximin, Porto Carras Master Classes, e.a. Marilena Liakopoulou has recorded for the Greek and the french radio and television, and has been awarded by the organizers of the Briancon Chamber Music Festival for her excellent performance in the complete chamber music works of Francis Poulenc (June 1999). Her repertoire covers an expanded range of classical and romantic solo piano works, concerts and chamber music, as well as a large number of contemporary Greek and international bearings. For over a decade (1999-2012) she has been Head of the Department of Chamber Music studies in the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki, she currently holds the post of the Principal solo Pianist in the Thessaloniki State Orchestra and she plays the "varviton" in the group of Ancient Greek instruments "Orpheia Harmonia". In parallel with her music career, she pursuit legal studies, obtaining a Bachelor Degree in Law and a Masters Degree in Art Law, specializing in Copyright and Related Rights for music performers. |
BASAK GOREN - Accompanists Coach
(Izmir State Conservatory, Turkey) Born in İzmir in 1988. She studied the piano at Dokuz Eylül University. She graduated the university in 2008. After graduading she studied with Dalia Ouziel and she had the master degree as a soloist at Conservatoire Royal de Mons – Belgium in 2010 and then she received the diploma of pedagogical formation in 2011. She was awarded diploma of Ph.D. (Competence in Art Diploma) at Dokuz Eylül University in Turkey in 2014. She participated the masterclasses that given by Elif Allenfort, Vladimir Krypan, İdil Biret. Studied with Verda Erman in France; with Kamerhan Turan, Özgür Aydın during the the 1st and 2nd Datça (Turkey) Summer Music Academy. In 2006 she studied with Hüseyin Sermet for the 49. Académie Internationale d'Eté de Nice – France, and also she gave the chamber music concert during this journey. She performed Mendelssohn Piano Concerto No.1 with Dokuz Eylül State Symphony Orchestra in Turkey, Mozart Piano Concerto No.13 with Orchestre Chambre de Wallonie in Belgium. She had the experience to performe with the famous conductors as Augustin Dumay, İbrahim Yazıcı, Ender Sakpınar. She also gave numerous recitals and chamber music concerts in İzmir, İstanbul, Ankara, Mons, Tournai, Nice. Başak Gören was the finalist of Concours d’Excellentia in Belgium and awarded the 4th Prize of 1st National Piano Competition Mersin in Turkey. Gören is piano instructor and accompanists, continues to work as Assistant Professor at Dokuz Eylül University. |
ANTONIO ROBERTO MAZZEO
(Faculty of Arts at the University of Foggia, Italy) Born in San Giovanni Rotondo in 1992, he began studying the piano at an early age and at 6 years had his first piano recital. Along with studies in piano he studied traditional school culminated with a classical education obtained with honours. He began his piano studies at the Conservatory "U. Giordano" 11 years and graduated under the guidance of Maestro Fiorenzo Pascalucci. It is a university student attending the Faculty of Arts at the University of Foggia and currently studies composition and attends the Doctor in Piano at the "U. Giordano". It stands out in several Music Competitions always finishing on the top or near the top. Among them gets an early age two first prizes in the "National Competitions Music captains" and confirmed over the years in the Contests "Eratai" (San Giovanni Rotondo), "Magnificat Lupiae" (Paisiello Theatre, Lecce), Piano Competition City of San Giovanni Teatino and "Young Talents" -San Severo. Lover of composition, in 2010 he won the "Young Authors" in Manfredonia. Since 2001 he is organist of the Church of San Nicola di San Severo, then he specialized with pianists of international fame as Pierluigi Camicia, Gabriella Orlando, Lambis Vasilliadis, Eri Nakagawa. Intense was his teaching with the students of St. Benedict and the circle of the Middle School Palmieri taking lessons-Concert in the years 2012/2013/2014 and December and in January 2015 on behalf of '' Amici della Musica-S.Severo "at Concert Hall Teatro Comunale Giuseppe Verdi. He has given concerts in Italy (Puglia, Abruzzo and Tuscany) as a soloist and as a chamber musician and recently also in Greece (Corfu). Has been a teacher at the Learning Center Ludico-Expressive "Insieme a Noi" Arl. Was selected for the project "Bicentennial birth G. Verdi-Educating the Theatre" in collaboration between the "Friends of Music-San Severo" and "Department of Culture-City of San Severo" with 26 concerts for the year 2013- 2014. From last March 2015 is "korrepetitor" in "Ioanian University" of Corfu in the framework of Erasmus Trainees. He recently have done a similar experience as accompanist at the Conservatory "U. Giordano" - Foggia sect. Rodi Garganico in the academic year 2013-2014.
